« A blatant bit of recruiting | Main | Where Workflow Foundation really shines »
Yesterday I recorded two more DNR TV shows on CSLA .NET with Carl Franklin, so watch for those to go online in the next few weeks. Carl does a nice job of editing the recordings and cleaning up the audio, so it takes some time between recording and "airing", but it is well worth it!

Very good news. The quality of dnrtv shows are very high. Both topics and video quality.

Hi Rocky,

I watched your video on CSLA.NET and Web Service on DNRTv. I noticed you have somekind of add-in that puts a return arrow next to your return statement and outlines your try-catch blocks, etc.

Is this a third-party component?

Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Charl

That is CodeRush from DevExpress, and it totally rocks! It goes way beyond what you saw in those demos - including cool IDE macros, better autocompletion (filling in the gaps where both C# and VB don't do everything you'd like) and more.

Which stuff in particular? CSLA .NET is covered in my Expert VB 2005 Business Objects and Expert C# 2005 Business Objects books, and other information (including the code) is available at www.lhotka.net/cslanet.

CodeRush is a commercial product from DevExpress. I imagine they provide documentation and other support for it from their web site.

I've done 4 shows now, and I think that's all that we've got planned at this point - so they are all available - here's the index
