Well, it's a good book, I've actually referred to your book in my book as a good reference source. I'm gonna go vote for it.

Why not the VB version?? Afterall, that IS the original while the C# is a mere translation!

Once again, VB gettin' the 'ol shaft. I guess it's true; VB programmers just ain't buyin' books anymore. Only the C# smarties are still buying books. Even Sell's book won't be out in a VB version for the 2nd Edition.

Not quite sure why you don't just switch to C#? You're sort of a white elephant being such an advanced programmer using VB, no? All the other braniacs are using C#.

Oh well...

Congratulations to be nominated.

Like VBMan, I think the VB book is the original and C# book a translation. These guys think always C# is better than VB. It is not because they learn java and C++ (whose C# is a copy) at scholl that there is only C# as language. Poor guys, they don't know the powerful VB 2005.

Almost, Rocky, continue to write VB books .. then tranlate them in C#, they will think that the book is written for C# and everybody will be happy ;))

Best wishes for 2006.

Cheers

Rocky!

Come on man! Please provide a response to VBMan's remarks :) :) I know, I know, I'm trying to start a language war, shame on me :)

BTW, I just voted. Shame on me if I didn't vote, after all, you've been helping me out since COM.

Good luck for the new year! Expert VB/C# (whatever) Business Objects 2.0 all the way baby! (hint, hint, I'm waiting, shameless, aren't I????)

Regards

Giancarlo

BTW Rocky - I did not mean to offend you. I was just letting of a little steam about VB somehow always being ignored in the "professional" circles. Over and over again, "experts" act as VB does not exist. I just read the latest software survey in Software Development Magazine, and they don't even list VB.NET or VB.Classic. They list COBOL though!! I mean really, give me a freakin' break! Perhaps this doesn't piss-off the typical "mort" VB user since most don't read blogs or other magazines besides VS Magazine, but it pisses me off. It's a slap in the face.

Do they quietly ignore VB hoping it will somehow just go away? Just call it RedHead.NET. We'll know what language they're referring to...

Happy New Year...
