« Switch from cvs to svn | Main | Next CSLA .NET training class: Feb 26-28... »

The CSLA .NET Version 2.1 Handbook is available NOW at http://store.lhotka.net for both C# and VB.

Additionally, version 2.1.3 of CSLA .NET is now available for download from this location.

Version 2.1.3 includes some bug fixes and minor enhancements. The enhancements are primarily around the CslaDataSource web control, which now provides more integrated support for paging and sorting.

Most importantly, version 2.1.3 is the specific version described in my CSLA .NET Version 2.1 Handbook. I am releasing this as a ~160 page ebook, available in editions for both C# and VB, for purchase directly from my web site.

This new book is best thought of as a sequel to my my Expert C# 2005 Business Objects and Expert VB 2005 Business Objects books. It covers the changes made since CSLA .NET 2.0 was released: how the framework has changed, and how to use the new features and capabilities. Please note that this is not a replacement for those books: it expands on them.

I hope you enjoy CSLA .NET 2.1.3, and the new book. Thank you, code well, have fun!

Hi Rocky,

Have you changed the format for your blog? It's now very awkward to read, as you have to scroll horizontally to see all the text?

Any chance you can put it back the way it was OR fix this?

e-Book is absolutely magic BTW :-)

Thanks a lot

Rocky,

Thanks very much for putting your blog back into the old format - much appreciated. However something has gone wrong on you somewhere. If you look over to the categories list on the right you should see a whole pile of text in a much larger font stacked up on top of one another.

I wonder if wonderful CSS is being bad to you???

This isn't a complaint but we can't have your work made a mockery of by HTML/CSS not wanting to play ball LOL :-)

Cheers

Believe it or not, that's "intentional" I guess. This theme includes a tag cloud, and that's it... It appears that the theme's formatting for the cloud needs some help - my guess is that it was never intended for the long tag names I'm using.

I'll probably have to dig into the theme and remove the tag cloud entirely.

Oh.... very artistic... I guess LOL :-)

How are the sales of your e-Book going so far?

Rocky, congrats on the eBook! I bought your Expert C# Business Objects book and was curious about the format of your eBook. Do you plan on making any excerpts available like at amazon.com?

Just a quick question: is it possible to print the ebook?

I've printed mine, taken it to a book binder and had cover put on it. It should after all be treated with respect :)

The book is OK, but I would really appreciate being able to put bookmarks in it.

Thanks Brian - it appears to be a bug in the store software. You can get to the page by clicking the name of the product - for some reason THAT link works but the other is broken...

Thanks Wes, I'm looking into the bookmark thing, at least for the future. It appears that I can enable "annotations" in the PDF publishing software - I'm guessing that also enables bookmarks, but I haven't had time to confirm.
