About CSLA .NETCSLA .NET stands for Component-Based Scalable Logical Architecture for .NET. The original CSLA was developed by Rockford Lhotka in his VB 5 and VB 6 Business Objects books in the late 1990's. CSLA .NET is based on many of the same concepts, but has a substantially different and improved implementation. Many of the improvements are due to the capabilities provided by the Microsoft .NET Framework (as compared to COM). Other improvements are due to reader feedback that has been incorporated into the CSLAFramework over time. The CSLA .NET framework comes from the Expert One-on-One VB.NET Business Objects and Expert C# Business Objects books by RockfordLhotka. These BusinessObjectsBooks are virtually identical other than the programming language used for each. The VB.NET edition predates the C# edition by about 12 months. Both books include version 1.0 of the framework. Various people have suggested a wiki over time. Chris Denslow (creator of http://www.onelittlevictory.com ) was instrumental in getting the idea actually going. See AllTopicsByOwner. | Discussion of CSLA .NET
